Steve Blexrud is a singer/songwriter/guitarist from Minneapolis, Minnesota, whose solid voice and soulful guitar playing have been turning heads all around the region. His roots rock, folk and blues style truly comes from the heart, and Steve's unique voice is polished and full of raw emotion.
In his teens, Steve started listening to and getting inspiration from some of the best guitarists and singers in the business, yet Blexrud has artfully crafted these influences into a sound and style all his own.
Steve is lead guitarist/vocalist for the Twin Cities band
Thunderheads and is also an accomplished solo artist. Steve’s performances, whether solo/duo acoustic or with Thunderheads, are among the best you’ll see in the area.
Blexrud and his band play a mix of covers and original music that attracts a broad demographic fan base, and as
he says, “I try to give everyone a little something they can relate to at every gig while remaining true to my musical tastes.”
Steve has shared the stage with several well-known local/regional artists and his music has been featured on TV/radio programs and websites including his song “Grip of the Black Gold”, a timely song about climate change and our dependence on fossil fuels.
Steve Blexrud is available to perform with his full band, as a solo act, or as a duo/trio.
Get ready to be highly entertained!
